About Us

We are Nabors Family Funeral Home and we have been a premier funeral home in South Holland, IL and now also in Thornton, IL since 2012. We specialize in funerals, cremations, repasts, and pre-need planning, but we also offer urns, caskets, keepsakes, removals, obituaries, and more. We are proud to offer nationwide shipping and we accept all insurances, so that everyone can afford the services they need. Our goal is to provide the best service possible to our customers so that they can focus on celebrating their loved one's life rather than feeling stressed about funeral arrangements. We are licensed in Illinois and Indiana and look forward to assisting consumers with their funeral home experience nationwide, specifically including the following areas: Chicago Heights, Homewood, Phoenix, Glenwood, Hazel Crest, Lynwood, Matteson, Harvey and Robbins. Our Story

Our owner, Lillie Nabors, received all her training from Malcolm X College, where she graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science and Applied Arts Sciences. She accumulated more than 11 years of experience from serving families in the Chicagoland area before finally realizing her dream of owning her own funeral parlor. Lillie and her husband, Derrick, opened Nabors Family Funeral Home in 2012.

Here at Nabors Family Funeral Home, it is our mission to remind families of the value in coming together after a loss to honor their deceased loved one. Holding a ceremony and gathering with friends and family afterwards is an essential part of grieving because it allows everyone to share memories and express their emotions in a healthy way. Today, the funeral options range anywhere from formal to relaxed, so you can choose the service that best fits your family’s needs.
